What is an STD or STI?
A sexually transmitted disease (STD) or sexually transmitted infection (STI) is a type of infection usually acquired by sexual contact. They can be transmitted through bodily fluids such as semen, blood, or vaginal fluid. They also can be transmitted through a nonsexual way; for example, during pregnancy or sharing needles.
